Man on the Moon
As I walk away,
I feel ashamed,
I had tried, and I had failed,
Failed to accomplish what I had tried so hard to do,
What I had worked so hard to do,
Realizing this I remember something,
Something to remember,
A man once said that if at first you don't succeed,
Try, try again,
But I have tried, tried, and tried,
Never once seeing a glimmer of accomplishment,
Never seeing the light of doing it right,
I have failed this time as I have failed thousands of times before,
Yet although I think, although I say, although I regret,
I know I will be back again,
Back where the people are watching,
Watching your every move,
Just waiting for you to mess up, to fail,
Like vultures waiting, waiting,
What makes me so determined to try?
I try, I try, I try, It always turns out the same, the same,
The same as it did the last time, the last ten times,
But yet, I go back,
Determined to live the life I want to live,
Determined to live the life I dream to live,
Maybe one of these days I will make it,
Maybe one of these tries I will succeed, A
man once said that if you want something bad enough,
You can make it happen,
You can make your dreams turn into a reality,
If you are true to your heart,
You can make it happen,
Make it happen.
