![]() ![]() Left of the Moon
![]() I woke up today at dawn,
This day has come and gone,
Looking into the starlit sky,
I begin to think and wonder why,
Why am I here?
Will I find out soon?
Maybe the answer is left of the moon,
Out in space, waiting to be found,
For each sparkle, sight and sound,
Tells me something, a stroke of inspiration,
A great beginning of hope and imagination,
For I am a rip of light shinning in a sea of mist,
Lessons learning, mistakes being made into a list,
Experiences in the day and things that will be,
Make up this person inside me,
What was this day for?
And why do we always ask for more?
Maybe the answer is left of the moon,
Or is heard in the nightingale's soft little tune,
To learn is to live, to live is to learn,
Climbing a mountain, giving the wheel a turn,
To take a chance of strife,
Is all that happens in this daily thing called life,
I woke up today at dawn,
This week has come and gone,
Days pass, weeks go by,
And I can't seem to figure out why,
Maybe the answer is left of the moon,
With wonders if we will find out late or soon.
