Living Is Learning
Have you ever really thought,
About all of the things you have ever learned or sought? T
take a moment to think,
Of all of the things that affect you, even when you blink,
Of the things you have learned from experience and hardship
I have thought about it and here is a little tip.
I have learned that when I am mad
To think of tomorrow, and not to stay sad,
Everything happens for a reason,
That a problem that arises isn't really treason,
To learn from my mistakes,
And to think ahead, no matter what it takes.
I have learned that a fake smile,
Will give you friends for a while,
But these people aren't true friends,
How long they last it depends.
I have learned that good friends are hard to come by,
And that they will never leave you with a sigh,
A friend is someone who you can trust,
And can tell secrets to, even if you must,
Lies hurt more than just the person being lied to,
A lie mostly hurts the person called you,
Never lie to a good friend,
Because the trust lost is hard to mend.
I have learned to be happy with myself,
Because good looks won't bring you wealth,
If I exercise everyday,
I can eat whatever I want with no dismay,
Laugh at stupid things you do,
And remember to have a good time too,
Sometimes the opinion of another person is worthless,
Because your opinion of yourself is what is bliss.
I have learned to always try for everything,
Even if your chances of making it aren't really a fling,
Because if you tried and don't make it,
At least you tried and don't have to have a fit.
I have learned that everyone has a different opinion,
And just because you think different, doesn't mean you face the dominion,
Different people have different taste buds,
So respect the thoughts of others even if they are thuds.
I have learned that it is good to help others in a turn,
Even if you get nothing in return,
Because it's just the feeling that you helped that counts,
And your actions help that person every living ounce,
When you do something good or bad,
It will come back to you not just a tad.
I have also learned that our lives are short,
Every second in them counts, don't waist time in court,
Every minute new things arise,
Every hour you may get a surprise,
For everyday we learn something new,
And we all must share it with others, even share with you.
